This week in the MegaHurtz workshop, we've nearly finished the chassis, began working on the lift system for our robot, and set up a few social media sites. The main project of the week has been the chassis. Pictured above is Isaac and our nearly finished chassis. A chassis, for those that don't know, is basically the main frame of a robot, or any mechanical vehicle. It will be the base for the rest of the robot, holding everything in place. Throughout the week, Isaac, Chris, and Brighton have been working hard to assemble the chassis, and worked through several issues. After an interview with Isaac, he described the main issue being the bearings. He reported that after assembling and testing gearboxes, one motor made a strange noise. After checking and cleaning all of the teeth, and testing it once again, a loud screech was heard. He later discovered that the bearings were broken, and replaced them with working ones. Along with progress on the robot, we've created two new social media pages. MegaHurtz Robotics is now on Facebook and Instagram!
